Tree safety and
condition surveys

All our tree surveys are performed by qualified and ethical arborists we use the process of ‘Visual Tree Inspection (VTA), (Mattheck and Breloer 1994).  VTA is a tried and tested method which has been used and accepted by courts worldwide.  Within our surveys we will advise on tree health and structural condition before providing timed recommendations for works.  Our surveys can be used to support and justify insurance claims, to satisfy lender requirements and also as a part of planning submissions.

Our safety surveys focus on the tree owner/managers Duty of Care under Common Law and liabilities under the Occupiers Liability Act 1957 and 1984 (as amended), and also the Highways Act 1980.  The surveys conform to the ethos of the National Tree Safety Group (NTSG) which is that recommendations for tree work should be balanced, proportional and reasonable.  Large tree surveys can provide an effective baseline from which an effective management plan can be derived.
